Our plans are optimized for you making a decision about how quickly you need your site built. Often times, this is a function of the size of your site, but in some cases, you may just need a site (of any size) that builds extremely quickly. You can start small and we’ll report the traffic for you in Gatsby Cloud. As your traffic grows, you can upgrade your plan to match your user’s traffic.

The Free plan is ideal for a side project that’s either a hobby project that you’d like to share with the world or a new idea that needs some validation. On the Free plan, you’ll receive access to all features of Gatsby Cloud including our new framework level Incremental Builds available in Gatsby 3. Additionally, you’ll get production branch builds and branch-based previews. On the Free plan, you’ll get all the features of hosting including a default domain, custom domains, and free TLS certificates.

The Professional plan is ideal for larger teams that are building large and complex Gatsby sites. On the Professional plan, you’ll get an improved build time thanks to more robust cloud infrastructure, and you’ll also receive access to Cloud Builds which intelligently build data and content change quickly. These are ideal of teams doing a high volume of edits from their content management system. Additionally, you’ll have everything included in the Free plan. Professional plans are great for sites that are receiving a first wave of traffic or are serving a predictable audience niche.

Our Agencies plan is a plan tailored to companies who build Gatsby sites for multiple clients at a time. Think of it as a centralized, digital workshop where you and your team can build and collaborate on all of your client sites simultaneously without worrying about hitting your plan limits or managing lots of add-ons. Use it to test ideas, build proofs of concept, and anything else you need to serve your clients. It provides all the same functionality as a Professional plan, but with much higher allowances in key feature areas like site and user limits to enable you to focus on building amazing sites for your clients.

Our Enterprise offerings are customizable plans that allow you to access the speeds of our most robust infrastructure offering with a customizable traffic requirements. Build speeds, across the different build plans, are determined currently by a combination of virtual machines types that are optimized for each tier of build speed along with memory core allocations to specifically help in generating lots of pages and images. For large sites, for instance, on Professional plans, customers have found build time decreases of up to 75% as compared with the Free plan. As we find ways to continue to optimize infrastructure, we’ll continue to improve build speeds across all tiers.

In effect, Builds are unlimited! While we do have platform limits that aim to ensure a consistent experience for all customers, we won’t rate-limit your builds on Gatsby Cloud. We believe that users should be able to edit their content and code as often as they need and that they shouldn’t have to pay by the minute for infrastructure and speed that we control.

Owner: The person who created the Workspace on Gatsby Cloud is the Owner. An Owner can edit the Workspace, manage billing, and invite/manage Members.

Admin: An admin can edit the Workspace, manage billing, and invite / manage Members.

Editor: An Editor can create, view, and modify sites. They cannot manage billing or other Members.
